Capabilities
Everything StagePatch does today.
-
Patch, not merge
Staging records changes; live applies them. The same plugin runs in both modes, and no database is ever copied over another.
-
Allowlisted object types
Options, pages and posts with their meta, nav menus and items, terms and taxonomies, widgets, theme mods and the Customizer, media attachments.
-
Hard exclusions
Users, orders, refunds, subscriptions, sessions, transients, cron, comments and logs are never recorded or touched.
-
Stable identity across environments
Objects that existed at clone time share IDs; anything created afterwards gets a UUID. Nothing assumes IDs match.
-
A changelog you can read
One coalesced row per object with a field diff; include or exclude changes and group them into a batch.
-
Safe apply
Every apply is preceded by a dry run, a conflict check and a rollback snapshot. An unresolvable reference blocks that operation instead of guessing.
-
Dependency-ordered plan
Creates and updates run in dependency order; deletes run last with dependents first.
-
Signed patch bundles
Export a batch as a signed zip, import it on live, and see a three-column conflict view before anything is applied.
-
Undo
Every apply keeps a rollback snapshot of each touched object, so undo is one click.
-
WP-CLI
wp stagepatch batches, export, import, apply and rollback for scripted deploys.
Changelog
